Daughter of Olokun...
Yemanja was born in the waters
Had three children,Ogum,Oxóssi and Exu.
The legend says that Ogum,the warrior,the eldest son,left for their conquests;
Oxóssi,who charmed by the forest,made it his abode and remained there,hunting;
and Exu,the troubled son walked out by the world.
Yemanja lived alone,but knew that his sons followed their fate and that she could not interfere in their lives,
because the three were adults.
Commented to herself:
-Ogum was born to conquer,is brave,courageous,impetuous.
Could never live in one place.
He was born to know Roads,conquer land,was born to be free.
Exu,which has given me so much trouble,was born to see the world and of the three is the most fickle,
always preparing surprises,unpredictable,cunning,capable of doing the impossible,also born to see the world.
Oxóssi,my dear younger,and I tried to hold it for me,but deep down I knew he had his fate.
He is cheerful,active,restless.
Like to see beautiful things,to admire what is beautiful and is a great hunter.
Was born to see the world too,and I could not hold it...
Yemanja was lost in his thoughts when she saw,in the distance,who someone approached.

And without hearing the response from his mother,Exu took her forcibly trying to rape her.
A great fight took place because Yemanjá could not ever admit what was happening.
Bravely withstood the onslaughts of the child who, in the struggle, tore the mother's breasts.
Crazed and sorry for what he did,Exu "fell in the world",disappearing on the horizon.
Fallen to the ground,Yemanja between pain,shame,sadness and pity about attitude his son,
Yemanja asked for help to father Olokun and the Creator,Olorun.
And from her breasts torn,came the water,salted like your tears,giving rise to the seas.
Exu,due the bad attitude,was banned for life from the table of the Orishas,and had as eternal task to be the guardian,can not anymore join the others in court.
Yemanja which this way gave rise to the sea...
Tried to understand the attitude of the child,for she is the real mother and considered the mother not only of Ogum,Exu and Oxóssi but of the entire pantheon of Orishas and all of us.
